German Advertising Film Awards - DWP 2014: Best Visual Effects, Best Direction & Best Art Department.

Another successful collaboration with my friends at Time Based Arts. I was asked to look after the egg to kitten transformation, hairy business... Down to me to decide how to make it happen, the only brief was to make sure that it felt mechanical, staying away from anything that might suggest a biological process. I wanted this section to be explosive and surprising yet feel tidy and choreographed. I designed, rigged, animated, rendered and produced the final comps for the three shots featuring the egg and kitten.
